WALKING & CYCLING:
We want to -

1   Increase the modal share of walking and cycling in Bromley though the use of travel awareness campaigns
*
2   Change the public perception of walking and cycling as forms of transport
*
3   Ensure that we are not creating more ‘vulnerable’ road users – should be safe and sustainable

We want the toolkit to help us with…

1   Assessing public perception to walking and cycling as modes of transport
*
2   Analysing local / regional political viewpoint
*
3   Increase the modal share of walking and cycling in Bromley

ACTION IN WORK PACKAGE 5

WALKING & CYCLING:
We want to -

1   Recruit 40 companies in South London
*
2   Carry out staff travel surveys and produce personalised advice packs for 2000 employees
*
3   Increase the proportion of walking and cycling in the companies targeted and reduce solo car journeys
*
4   Monitor progress of travel plans through Transport for London’s iTrace system
*
5   Promote travel plans to businesses through events and existing links

1   Inadequate resources and knowledge by employers to implement travel plans

2   Inadequate incentives by employers to encourage walking/cycling to workplace
*
3   Inadequate information (routes, health benefits etc) to motivate employees to walk/cycle
