Preocupări pentru siguranţă şi

Pericolul perceput sau real, īntāmpinat īn timpul mersului cu bicicleta sau pe jos şi securitatea referitoare la depozitarea echipamentului asociat.

Informaţii inadecvate

Lipsa informaţiilor şi a comunicării īn legătură cu mersul pe jos si rutele pentru bicicletă şi locaţia echipamentelor. Lipsa de eficienţă a campaniilor promoţionale.

Mediu şi proiectare urbană inadecvate

Topografia, climatul şi aspectul dificil al zonei urbane.

Lipsa infrastructurii şi a sprijinului

Dotare şi īntreţinere insuficientă a traseelor de biciclete, a zonelor pentru mersul pe jos, a parcărilor pentru biciclete şi a nodurilor cu alte mijloace de transport.

Īnţelegere scăzută din partea publi

Mersul pe jos şi cu bicicleta nu sunt considerate modalităţi viabile de transport deoarece obiceiurile, lipsa interesului publicului şi barierele culturale nu sunt combătute cu succes.

Accesibilitate şi probleme de sănăt

Absenţa facilităţilor pentru mersul pe jos sau cu bicicleta face aceste mijloace inaccesibile, īn timp ce condiţia fizică sau mobilitatea precară exclude o parte din public.

Lipsa sprijinului din partea sectorului public

Iniţiativele pentru mersul pe jos şi cu bicicleta şi coordonarea la nivel de oraş nu sunt implementate cu succes datorită priorităţii scăzute acordate de politicieni.

Lipsa sprijinului din partea sectorului privat

Organizaţiile nu sunt conştiente de beneficiile planurilor de mobilitate (planurilor de călătorie) şi astfel nu sunt puse la dispoziţie resurse: facilităţi nepotrivite pentru personal.

Aglomeraţia şi poluarea aerului

Poluarea aerului face călătoriile neconfortabile şi nesănătoase pentru pietoni şi biciclişti. Accesibilitate redusă pentru antreprenori datorită aglomeraţiei.

Lipsa educaţiei şi a instruirii

Abilităţi scăzute īn manipularea bicicletei, necunoaşterea īntreţinerii bicicletei şi a siguranţei pe stradă.
